Hello Harbord Villagers

As you know there have been ongoing concerns with respect to the north end of Harbord Village exp around the nexus of Bloor and Brunswick

To this end, we are proposing two initiatives/meetings in concert with the Councillors' Office, the ARA and the HSRO and the two BIA's.

1: A Meeting [Yes another one!] with the operators of the Brunswick House

Date: September 9
Time: at 7:00pm
Place: Room 151 in the Rotman Building 105 St. George Street

Agenda: To attempt one more time to impress upon the owners that the business plan adopted by the Brunswick House is having a devastating impact on the community in which it does business..
This email is being sent to the the whole of HV but this meeting is of primary interest to those living on Major, Brunswick and Borden north of Sussex

2: Community Safety Audit

Date Tuesday, September 8
Time: from 5:00 to 9:00pm.
Place: To be announced

Somewhat related to the reason for the meeting above, Councillor Vaughan has arranged for METRAC - a non-profit community based organization to do a Safety Audit of HV, ARA and HSRO.. This involves a walkabout and training sessions about what to look for and look out for with respect to safety in our community.. Once we are trained, we can in turn train other members of our community. There is a charge for this Audit but the Residents' Associations and the BIA's will be picking up the tab for this great opportunity.
We are looking for volunteers who may wish to take this course and assist HV becoming fully aware of safety aspects of our community.

If you would like to attend, please reply to this email.

with all good wisher

Rory 'Gus' Sinclair
Chair HVRA

PS Don't forget the Fall Fair
Date Sunday September 13
Place: Margaret Fairley Park
Time: Noon to 7 pm
