Hello you wonderful neighbours and residents of Harbord Village

As you all may be aware, tomorrow, Saturday March 28th, is the day the world will participate in Earth Hour and we here in Harbord Village are well placed to do our part

What it is about:
A few years ago the Citizens of Sydney Australia got behind the idea of dimming the lights throughout the city in the belief that it would increase the awareness of the fragility of the earth in the face of global warming in the big picture and our individual responsibility for our own carbon foot print on the micro level.. It was massively successful and the movement has since spread world wide..

What you can do:
Last year and this, HVRA has registered with Earth Hour -- http://www.earthhour.org/home/ --- and here is your reminder of what would great for you to do:
between 8:30 and 9:30, shut off all electrical lights in your home.. There is more you can do but rather than repeat it here, you can go on line at the above site and find out for yourselves.

So tomorrow night, shut off your lights and then go outside, schmooze with your neighbours of like minds and see how we are doing in general
