Dear Member of HVRA

On July 5th, Councillor Vaughan is hosting the annual Ward 20 Community
Environment Day at Central Technical School (Borden & Harbord).
This year we are combining regular "Environment Day" activities (free
compost, recycling household hazardous waste, sign up for a free tree,
etc...) with a community BBQ.

The event takes place from 10 am - 2 pm.

Things you can do:
Buy:
-an apartment recycling bin [$4]
-a yard waste bin $[7]
-a rain barrel [$70]
-a green bin [$18]
-a composter [$15]

Pick up for free:
-leaf compost
-rain guages
-green bin and kitchen container [bring damaged ones or proof of new residency]

Drop off for Recycling/Disposal
-used cell phones
-computers and small electronics
-hazardous waste: paint, solvents,batteries
-inkjet and laser printer cartridges
-used tires [off rim]
-plastic bags

Donate for re-use
-children's books
-buttons, fabric pieces, yarn, keys
-clip boards, cork, cork boards
-CD's and cases
-Art supplies
-Dress-up clothing
-sporting goods: skates, hockey helmets and jerseys

More items for reuse and recycling:
-books
-eyeglasses, Wheel chairs, walking aids, hearing aids
-non-perishable foods
-household items- dishes, ornaments [not furniture]
-textiles in good condition
