Interested in a Half-Price Tree for your Backyard?
NEIGHBOURHOOD MEETING:
7--9pm March 27th 45 Brunswick Avenue, Kensington Gardens (North bldg)
Everyone is invited to a meeting to hear about some exciting neighbourhood tree projects:
* Sign up for ½ price trees and volunteers to help plant them in your backyard in early May.
* Bring your tree care questions to help us plan free workshops with forestry experts in May.
* Find out about the health of neighbourhood trees - and your own - from our Summer 2007 tree inventory and hear our plans to complete the inventory this Summer.
* Encourage residents/businesses to adopt street trees and water them during dry spells.
* Hear our ideas about hiring an arborist at a group rate to prune our trees.
* Trees will cost $100 to $400, but you will pay half that. The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a limited number of trees suitable for backyard spaces. Some trees will be available at 10% of the regular price for low-income households.
Please take a moment to encourage your neighbours to attend - only a few of whom will have received this email. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
